The Teacher Loan Forgiveness program is one of the most beneficial of
all the forgiveness options. Teachers are eligible for principal
reduction and early ten year forgiveness.
A teacher is defined as a person who provides direct public school
classroom teaching, or classroom-type teaching in a non-classroom
setting.
Special Education teachers are considered teachers.
